Wakkerstroom Tour - U3A Johannesburg

[Members from other U3A groups should contact the organiser to determine whether they can go on a tour.]

Visit to Wakkerstroom - 18 - 21 February 2008

The Continuity Club has places for 12 U3A members on a trip to this birders' paradise.

Just 3,5 hours drive from Johannesburg, Wakkerstroom is a town full of friendly people and lends itself to walks, exploring, visiting restaurants in small groups and, of course, birding.

Accommodation is varied - from basic, in the original training centre for bird guides at R100 pppn, situated on the vlei and close to bird hides; to very comfortable self catering in town at R160 pppn; and even ultra luxurious in a gorgeous B&B at R285 pppn.

Local bird guides can be hired if you wish to look for Rudd's Lark, Botha's Lark and the Yellow-breasted Pipit.

As only 12 places are available, please contact Pauline on 082-341-7446 or Maureen on 072-196-5550 for further information - we would like to have your bookings by 15 December and payment by 11 January 2008.
