Formed in 2003, this vibrant busy group situated between the sea, mountains and vineyards, has over 1000 members.

Each week people from all walks of life come together for the pleasure of gaining new knowledge and sharing social activities.

As well as weekly courses( Course List available here) we publish a quarterly Newsletter to keep members informed on club happenings.

Members with Internet are encouraged to subscribe to the Yahoo email group which enables a wider and speedier dissemination of news and notices of club events. To subscribe to this list (which is free) see instructions here.

Our General Meetings held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Strand Town Hall at 10h00, feature talks by interesting and knowledgeable speakers.

No General Meetings are held in December or January

Refreshments (for a small fee) are available from 09h30 and members and guests can chat and peruse the various items of club news and featured displays.
