If your family is looking for a great skiing holiday this season, you can do no better than visit Chamonix Mont Blanc. The Winter Olympics were held here some years ago as it has some of the best and highest skiing in the Alps. Also a wonderful variey of slopes for beginners and intermediate skiers.
Jason and Lisa Roberts run a family owned chalet in the valley, with everything you'll need to have a wonderful holiday. As a U3A Member, you and your family will receive a 10 % discount on their normal rates.
Your English will work fine here as it gets a lot of British visitors, so you'll get by easily without having to learn a foreign language. This is the chalet in November, the early snow promising a really good season.

Alliance Française, Rouen, France
The Alliance Française
de Rouen offers language classes, complemented by cultural and artistic discovery
activities. Whatever your expectations, you will find in Rouen, in group or individual
lessons, an effective solution to learn French and to discover the culture. We
offer many French language learning options. Each person will find something that
suits them.
Only one hour from Paris, Rouen, the medieval capital of Normandy,
is rich in cultural and architectural treasures and is an ideal point of departure
for excursions to Mont Saint Michel, Monet's Garden at Giverny, Bayeux, Honfleur,
the Somme and the D-Day Landing Beaches.

" French, Painting and History of Art.
Seniors
We
have extended our programmes to include a 17 day programme specifically targeted
at seniors. A copy of this programme is available on request. Individuals can
enrol and do not necessarily need to be part of a group.
Dates:
In 2009,
the seniors' programmes will commence on: 27 March, 1 May, 29 May, 18 September
and 9 October.
Note: Courses for groups of 8 or more can be organized at your
convenience.

" 15 hours of French Lessons;
" Visits
led by a professional multilingual guide to historic sights and monuments including:
Paris, Mont Saint-Michel, D-Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux, Honfleur and Saint-Malo;
" Tour of the Loire Valley;
" Art and cooking lessons;

Wine and cheese degustation.
Price:
1895 €uros per person including

Painting and History of Art
In summer 2010, all Normandy will march to the beat of impressionism; exhibitions, concerts, movies, dining, travel and tours. The entire region, which was the cradle of this artistic expression, remembers painters and locations.

SPAIN - Javea & Benidorm
Seniors (age 60 and above) in Spain enjoy special privileges from the state, one of which is subsidised holidays. Several hotels cater for this market. These are two of them, The rates are for full board and accommodation, per person per day sharing. For example, you can stay in Javea in October (low season) for 22.50 Euros per day.
