Recent tax legislation appears to require that each U3A Group registers as a 'Public Benefit Organisation' - not quite the same as a 'Non-Profit Organisation'. Two groups have have submitted their PBO applications to the relevant office in Pretoria - we wait to see if the process can be followed simply by other groups
